The Fresno County Sheriff's Office arrested a man after a high-speed pursuit that ended with him crashing into a pole

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno County Sheriff's Office arrested a man after a high-speed pursuit that ended with him crashing into a pole at Shields and Blythe in West Central Fresno and then running away.

Deputies started tracking the 28-year-old suspect on Highway 180. When they ran the plates to the car, it came back stolen. The driver realized he was being followed and tried to outrun law enforcement. Deputies said he reached speeds of 80 to 90 miles per hour.

The suspect then crashed at Shields and Blythe.

Deputies found the suspects hiding inside a shed in the area of Brawley and Shields.

According to deputies, it was a K-9 unit that caught the suspect.
