Police investigating drive by shooting in East Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police are searching for up to three suspects responsible for a drive-by shooting.

It happened on the corner of Peach and Olive Avenue just before 2:00 p.m. Officers said two to three men in a white four door sedan were in the neighborhood and fired multiple shots.

One of the men walking in the neighborhood was shot. The victim was taken to the hospital and is in critical but stable condition.

Officers are still investigating the motive.

"I seen two guys running from the street. One across the street, one ran to the side and one of them got shot. The other one laid right next to us and they just started shooting," said a neighbor who asked to not be identified.

The victim was hit in the upper body as well as his leg.
