FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A crime of opportunity was caught on camera and now Fresno Police are looking for two suspects. A Fresno woman walked into a Southeast Fresno grocery store with a couple of kids and a wallet full of cash. She walked out about $8,000 light on cash. Police said she's the victim of grand theft.

"She had that much money, I believe she was going to send it back home to family in Mexico, so that's why she had that much money," said Sgt. Mark Hudson, Fresno Police Department.

She and her money didn't make it out of the produce aisle together. Surveillance video showed her toddler knock her wallet out of their shopping cart. Another woman seems to notice it and she comes to grab it, then takes it back to her own cart quickly. The video then shows her hide it in her friend's purse. Police said the woman is Maricela Olivo who grabbed the wallet and Christabel Cota Garcia who was with her. They didn't get out of the store without a run-in with Foods Co. loss prevention agents.

"After they saw this on video surveillance, they confront the two suspects. It was at that point, they denied having taken anything and they leave," said Hudson.

Detectives said the duo left separately, but they got a picture of Garcia's Buick rendezvous with an Oklahoma license plate. They're hoping to hear from people who can help find them.
