Mayor De Blasio: NYC explosion was 'intentional', no connection to terrorism

The New York City Fire Department confirms they are on the scene of an explosion at 135 West 23rd Street in Manhattan. (KFSN)

At least 29 people have been injured after an explosion at 131 West 23rd Street in Manhattan, sources say.

The explosion happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. 28 of those injuries are minor, and one injury is being described as serious. No fatalities have been reported.

As of 11 p.m., NYPD reports that they are investigating a second device in the area.

"At this moment we do not see a link to terror," said New York Mayor Bill de Blasio.

We believe this is an intentional act," said New York City Police Commissioner James O'Neill.
