Visalia Police investigate an attempted homicide

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Visalia police are investigating an attempted homicide that left one man seriously hurt.

Authorities received a call of shots fired in the area of Houston and Liberty shortly after 1 a.m. Monday. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his neck.

The victim was taken to the hospital and was listed in critical condition.

Police have no suspects in custody at this time, but, they say someone was seen running from the area with a rifle.
