KERMAN, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two teenagers face charges for posting threats to Kerman High School on social media.

Investigators say they got word of the disturbing posts on Facebook around 9 p.m. Wednesday. By 11 p.m., they had two people under the age of 18 in custody for making the threats.

Both of the suspects say it was a joke and that they got the idea from similar posts made against Fresno schools earlier this week. The two now face serious charges.

Kerman police say the school is safe. Classes will start at the normal time today.
