Visalia man shot twice in the leg

FRESNO, Calif. -- A man is recovering in the hospital on Monday after being shot overnight in Visalia.

The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Monday in the area of Northwest First and Encina. Officers found the victim suffering from two non-life threatening gunshot wounds to his left leg. He was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment.

While investigating, officers also found several rounds that struck a nearby home, but no one inside was hurt.

Authorities are still looking for the suspect.
