FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Several local organizations, including the Fresno Elks Lodge and Habitat Humanity, came together to help a student's charity move forward.

Earlier this year, Nicholas Rodriguez won the Mount Olympus Challenge for his "No Place to Play" project. The program aims at setting up playground equipment for those who may not afford it and the group put together a gazebo and play equipment at "The Hospitality House" near Fresno's VA Hospital.

It now gives homeless veterans and their families a place to enjoy as they transition into permanent housing. The event also benefited the nonprofit Central Valley Veterans.
