FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A drug-sniffing K9 helped New York state troopers bust two Central Valley men who they say were in possession of more than 26 pounds of heroin.

Enrique Mendoza, 38, and Joaquin Hernandez, 35, both of Fresno, were pulled over Wednesday as they were driving in New Hampton, New York. The troopers say they found the heroin inside the cab of the suspects' tractor-trailer. K9 Officer "Marty" helped alert investigators to the contraband.

Both men are now being charged with possession of a controlled substance.
