New fusion pizza taking over Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- It is all in the sauce-- or the curry sauce that is, at Curry Pizza Company in Northwest Fresno.

"You can't just have a regular pizza. We're the only place in Fresno who makes curry Pizza, traditional Indian style," said Malhi Virender Singh, the Curry Pizza Company.

Singh is one of the owners of the new fusion business.

"They tell us they love Indian food, they love pizza, so you combine them and put them together."

That's right; your favorites on a slice and Singh said the taste is wowing fans.

"You can taste the dough and you can also get the flavor like Tandoori Chicken, you can taste the tandoori chicken in it. You can also taste Chicken Tikka and we have our own butter chicken sauce-- you can taste the bite chicken sauce on the pizza."

The business is a family affair with brother in law running operations and wife and sister making the authentic Indian food from the meat to the sauce.

"Red sauce, white sauce, butter sauce, tikka sauce, pistol sauce, and special curry sauce," said Singh.

The menu comes complete with Indian food favorites, vegetarian choices, and they said just regular options like meat too.

The company said they are gaining ground on social media and have signed up to be a part of Uber Eats.

The Curry Pizza Company has only been open three weeks and said if the curry-osity continues they could open a second Valley location in the future.
