Powdery substance found at Fresno Yosemite International Airport prompts hazmat situation
On Thursday, emergency crews responded to a hazardous material situation at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- On Thursday, emergency crews responded to a hazardous material situation at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

Around 11:45 a.m., two Horizon Airline employees came into contact with an unknown powdery substance at the airline ticket counter. A spokesperson for the airport said when workers became sick the Fresno Fire Department came out to investigate.

Crews determined the unknown substance was not hazardous.

The airport remained open during the incident and no flights were impacted.

It is still not known what caused the workers to get sick.
