FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a commercial fire in southeast Fresno.

It started around 8:45 p.m. in the area of Sara and Woodward Streets. When crews arrived, they immediately took a defensive stance on the fire due to power lines nearby.

The structure has been abandoned for years and has a history of theft and being occupied by squatters. Crews have yet to make entry to determine whether anyone was inside at the time.

Due to the multiple fires around the state including the Detwiler and Park Fire, officials say crews have been stretched thin to cover the city.
