Some patients at Valley Children's Hospital celebrated Christmas in July thanks to non-profit

MADERA, Calif. (KFSN) -- It was Christmas in July for patients at Valley Children's Hospital Friday. Casey Cox and her team delivered toys, games, and iTunes gift cards to oncology patients and their families.

The non-profit Lauryn's Hope was started after Casey's daughter lost her battle with cancer at just 16 months old back in 2012. She said the last holiday they spent together as a family was Christmas, so she thought what better time to show families they are not alone.

Now Casey hand delivers gifts to families twice a year-- once in July and once in Christmas.
