LGBT Community Center in Fresno shutting down

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Gay Central Valley will be shutting down the Fresno LGBT Community Center Tuesday.

The local non-profit organization opened the center near Fulton and Olive seven years ago. Through the years they have provided services to members of the LGBT community and have organized events promoting equality.

Officials with the group said they plan on donating the supplies they have to non-profits who need them.

Although the facility will be shut down Tuesday, the organization itself will be in operation through the end of the year.
