Search continues for missing Fresno woman Lucy Xiong
Heartbreak is still tearing through Lucy's Xiong's family as they wait for the 20-year-old to return home.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Heartbreak is still tearing through Lucy's Xiong's family as they wait for the 20-year-old to return home.

"These past few days I haven't been able to eat," said Lucy's mother Chao Yang.

Mai Lor Xiong, Lucy's aunt, said, "We want closure-- we want Lucy back."

Lucy went missing last Saturday in the early morning hours and nearly one week later police are still scouring the area where loved ones believe she may have been before vanishing.

A canal is one of those spots, but Lt. Mark Hudson said a search Thursday proved she is likely not here.

"No evidence shows us that she was in the canal."

Now police are back to knocking on doors and combing through leads, calling this case suspicious. They are also monitoring Lucy's credit cards, which were used in both the Tower District and Madera after she disappeared.

"The detectives followed up on those leads as well and we're continuing this investigation. If they are used in other locations the detectives will follow-up on those as well," said Hudson.

Hudson said footage from surveillance cameras in the area do not show Lucy, which is why they are counting on the public to come forward with any information leading them to her.

"It's unfortunate for the family, they're concerned about her whereabouts-- again we need the public's help to find more information to find Lucy," said Hudson.

People in the community said they will be on the lookout, hoping to help bring Lucy's loved ones the closure they need.

"It's sad and I hope they find her safe-- it's just heartbreaking for the family," said Maricela Nava, Fresno.
