Person injured after shooting in Northwest Fresno
Two people are detained after an early morning shooting in Northwest Fresno which happened around 1:30 in the area of Marks and Saginaw.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two people are detained after an early morning shooting in Northwest Fresno which happened around 1:30 in the area of Marks and Saginaw.

Officers said the victim knew the shooter and we are told the suspect fled after the crime. Police were able to set up a perimeter with help from the California Highway Patrol.

Two men were taken into custody for questioning-- one is believed to be the shooter.

Fresno Police Lt. Steve Card said, "We believe they have had some prior arguments or disputes and that may have led to this incident."

Police said they did find the gun involved in the shooting.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper body. There is no word on his condition at this time.
