FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating the theft of hundreds of gallons of diesel fuel in Madera.

The Madera Police Department posted a photo on its Facebook page of several big rigs parked on Almond Avenue near Stadium Road.

Officers say early Saturday morning they got a call about someone breaking into a car. They then discovered that about 300 gallons of diesel fuel had been stolen from two of the semi-trucks.

So far, no arrests have been made. Madera police officers say they plan on patrolling the area more often.
