Fire officials investigate fire in Southwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Thick smoke billowed into the air Sunday afternoon after a trailer went up in flames in Southwest Fresno.

Crews from both the county and city responded to the fire near Burns and Kirk Avenues.

Officials say no one was inside at the time.

Firefighters, however, were able to quickly put out the flames before they moved to nearby homes.

Firefighters say someone from a nearby fire station working on their rig noticed smoke in the area and immediately notified them.

Right now the cause of the fire is under investigation.
