Hundreds of dogs compete in Fresno Fairgrounds dog show

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- More than 700 dogs and their owners headed to the Fresno Fairgrounds this weekend to compete in two all-breed dog shows.

All types of breeds attended the event, from Labrador retrievers to Boston Terriers.

Organizers say dog breeders come to ensure the standards of the dogs they breed are up to par with requirements from the American Kennel Club.

They also say events like the dog shows this weekend help them sustain friendships with people across the country.
