14-year-old gang member arrested with gun in Southeast Fresno

FRESNO,Calif. (KFSN) -- A 14-year-old is in custody after several cars were broken into in Southeast Fresno.

Officers say they found the teen running from an apartment near Alta and Willow.

Officials stopped him and found that he was on probation and was in possession of a semi-automatic handgun. They also found several stolen items from two separate vehicle burglaries that had occurred just minutes before officers arrived.

The juvenile has been booked into the Fresno County Juvenile Hall for vehicle burglaries and multiple firearm violations.
