Body found in Fresno County orchard

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Farmers found a dead man at the edge of a Fresno County almond orchard Sunday afternoon.

Fresno County Sheriff's deputies say the property owners located the body near McKinley and Leonard Avenues, 6 miles east of the Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

Detectives say there was obvious trauma to the body and they're investigating it as a homicide.

The age and identity of the victim have not been released yet, and detectives don't know how long the body was in the orchard.
