Car crashes through Southwest Fresno church
A small church in Southwest Fresno has major damage after an overnight crash.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A small church in Southwest Fresno has major damage after a crash early Tuesday morning.

The crash created a huge hole in the side of the West Fresno Christian Center. Police say the driver actually drove through the front doors and out the side of the building.

The driver was the only one hurt but will survive. Officers say he was driving down Fresno Street around 1:30 a.m. and lost control near the intersection with California Avenue. They say he ended up jumping a couple curbs before he veered into the building.

There's no word yet on how much all the damage will cost. Investigators are still checking to see if alcohol or drugs may have played a role in the crash.
