Crews tackle grass fire near Highway 99 in Kingsburg

KINGSBURG, Calif. (KFSN) -- Kingsburg firefighters were watching for flare-ups along Highway 99 Monday morning after an overnight grass fire.

Crews responded to a call of a vegetation fire at Sierra Avenue and Highway 99 in Kingsburg at about 1 a.m. Monday. Strong winds fueled the fire, causing it to grow quickly. Firefighters were able to get a handle on it pretty fast and knocked down the flames.

No injuries were reported. The cause is still under investigation.
