A Utah father was able to stop the man who was allegedly kidnapping his daughter after waking up to the sound of the little girl being taken Friday morning.

Troy Morley, 47, pictured above, allegedly broke into the house of the unnamed family and managed to carry the 5-year-old girl out the front door. But police say Morley made enough noise to awaken the girl's father, who confronted Morley outside. Morley fled, leaving the little girl behind.

According to ABC 4 Utah, Morley was then located by K-9 units dispatched by police. The suspect was found at the house of neighbor Tina Olsen a few blocks away.

"I just looked over to see and he just said 'am I bad,' or 'am I in trouble' or something weird and he was kind of like trying to cover himself," Olsen told ABC 4 Utah. "He didn't have a shirt on, he was a big guy kind of with a shaved head and I just panicked, freaked and I ran upstairs screaming there is a man in the house. My heart just goes out to that family, I can't even imagine but it's even scarier to think he was in my basement."

Police say Morley has no connection to the family. He is facing charges that include child kidnapping and burglary.
