Drive-by shooting injures three people in Winton

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A drive-by shooting has left three people injured near the intersection of Santa Fe and California in the Winton area.

Merced County Sheriff's deputies arrived on scene around 10 p.m. Wednesday and started giving immediate medical attention to the victims. Authorities say when they arrived the victims were awake and responsive. They were later taken to an area hospital.

It's unclear what prompted the shooting and no arrests have been made, but police say a dark-colored van was seen leaving the area.
