Driver sought in deadly hit-and-run crash in Livingston

LIVINGSTON, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities in Livingston are searching for the driver in a deadly hit-and-run crash.

Livingston police say a 63-year-old man was hit while walking on Briarwood Drive at F Street on Saturday night. The victim was dragged by the vehicle for several hundred feet and died at the scene.

Officers say minutes later, the SUV went off an embankment at Emerald Drive and Peach Avenue. The driver ran away from the scene.

Investigators are now trying to find Tefilo Ramos, 33, to question him about the driver's identity. Anyone with information about Ramos is asked to call the Livingston Police Department at (209) 394-7917.
