Elderly woman killed after being hit by truck in Tulare

TULARE, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman has died after being hit by a truck just before 1:00 p.m. Friday. It happened near R Street and Bardsley Avenue in Tulare.

Police said 66-year-old Madaline Hernandez was on a motorized scooter when she was hit by a pickup truck. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Hernandez was taken to the hospital; however she did not survive her injuries.

This accident is still under investigation.
