FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A 23-year-old was found guilty late Monday afternoon for the double murder of a Fresno man and his son.

Tony Torres, Jr., and Tony Torres, Sr., died in the shooting at First and Gettysburg in June 2013.

Michael Rincon showed no outward emotions as the verdict was read.

"He is very close mouthed, very unemotional just in general," said Douglas Foster, Rincon's defense attorney. "It's very difficult to get him to open up most of the time, so I can't really speak to how he's feeling."

A jury of 12 found the 23-year-old guilty of first-degree murder for gunning down the two men. While Rincon kept quiet with his head down, emotional family members cried holding onto each outside the courtroom.

"I have so much mixed emotions," said Priscilla Gamez, a family member. "We definitely are happy with the verdict. It's been a long 14 months for our family. We finally got justice."

Gamez lost her father and brother in the shooting. Surveillance video shows Rincon leading several others to the two victims. Rincon has admitted to having the gun but claims another person in the group was the actual shooter. Now the Torres family is pleading with him to confess because they believe he knows he killed innocent people.

"I just wish he would give us some peace and admit to what he's done instead of trying to blame it on somebody else, and show some remorse," said Gamez.

Rincon now faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. He's due back in court for sentencing next month.
