VIDEO: Attempted burglary suspects - Part 1

Video from the Fresno Police Department's Skywatch helicopter shows three teenagers running across the field at Turner Elementary School in East Central Fresno Monday night after trying to break into the school's teacher lounge.

The two 14-year-olds and 15-year-old told investigators they were trying to steal money, admitting to breaking several windows on the school campus. The three teenagers were booked into juvenile hall for attempted commercial burglary.

In a separate incident, the Skywatch helicopter used its infrared capabilities to catch three suspected car thieves over the weekend.

One of the teenagers was caught right away. The other two tried hiding behind a tree before trying to run away. This all started in Northeast Fresno near Alluvial and First.

Eventually the suspects surrendered. The two 15-year-olds and one 14-year-old are from Madera. They were found to be intoxicated and driving a stolen van. They were booked into juvenile hall for possessing a stolen vehicle and obstructing police.
