Man dies after large fight ends in shooting in Visalia

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Visalia police are investigating a murder early Saturday after they broke up a giant fight.

Neighbors heard gunshots just after midnight on West Campus Avenue, behind the Kmart near Demaree Street and Noble Avenue. Police said they found about 30 people on the streets and, in the middle of the crowd, they saw a man with several gunshot wounds.

Paramedics rushed him to the hospital but it was too late to save him.

The victim's identity has not been released and investigators are interviewing witnesses for suspect information.
