New birthing center opens in Hanford

Obstetrics patients were transferred by ambulance to the new center. New mothers as well as those still pregnant will be cared for by a whole team of doctors and nurses on hand for the move.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The new Family Birthing Center in Hanford is now open and welcomed its first patients Sunday.

Obstetrics patients were transferred by ambulance to the new center. New mothers, as well as those still pregnant, will be cared for by a whole team of doctors and nurses on hand for the move.

Meantime, special gifts will be provided for the last baby born at Central Valley General Hospital and the first baby born at the Family Birth Center, as well as to mothers who deliver that day.
