FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Four people, including two children, died in Sunday's crash at Sonoma and Whitesbridge in Fresno County.

CHP investigators say the man responsible, Rein Ban, was driving drunk.

A grief stricken and heartbroken mother was released from the hospital Monday. Family members say she is going to be ok physically. Her husband has been at her side with her mourning the loss of their two children.

Suyapa Quezada was driving her children and sister Sunday in the now, mangled Kia.

Loved ones said they were on their way back home to Mendota from a shopping trip in Fresno. They had come to town to buy clothes and backpacks for the kids.

The children have been identified as 7-year-old Danny Enriquez Rodriguez and 10-year-old Lisandro Enriquez Rodriguez. They were both in the back seat and died at the scene. Their aunt, Belkys Quezada was in the front seat. She also died in the crash.

California Highway Patrol officers say they are continuing to interview witnesses and surviving passengers about what happened and where the groups were prior to the deadly crash.

"The investigating officer will doing in depth interviews with family members, trying to figure out where they came from, where they were going," said Brad Simpson with the California Highway Patrol. "This is going to be a very extensive investigation."

A passenger in the suspects' car also died. Sinoeun Uong was killed in the crash and may have been pregnant. An autopsy Tuesday will determine if she was.

Major accident investigators also returned to the fatal crash scene. For hours, they took measurements and looked for physical evidence.

As for the victim's family, they are even more disturbed and heartbroken because several of them, including the children's father, went to the horrific crash scene and have vivid memories of the kid's lifeless bodies.

If you'd like to help the family with donations, they've set up a memorial fund.
