FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Merced police have arrested a robbery suspect with the help of his nickname.

Investigators say Bobby Lee Kinder punched a man in the face several times and stole his wallet early Saturday morning. It happened outside the 7-Eleven on R Street near 18th.

Witnesses mentioned the nickname "Angel" which helped officers track down Kinder about two hours later at the Siesta Motel. They say the 33-year-old admitted to the crime.

Kinder was booked into jail on strong armed robbery and battery charges.
