Northwest Fresno crash sends 2 people to hospitals

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that shut down a major intersection for hours on Saturday.

The collision happened at the corner of Palm and Barstow in Northwest Fresno around 7 p.m. Both SUVs had major damage, and one of them slammed into a metal fence, knocking it down.

One of the drivers was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with serious injuries and the other went to Saint Agnes Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Officers are still trying to determine how the crash happened and who was at fault.
