One man injured in Central Fresno shooting
Authorities are investigating an early morning shooting in Central Fresno that send one person to the hospital.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities are investigating an early morning shooting in Central Fresno that sent one person to the hospital.

It happened just before five Friday morning when police were called to a shooting in the area of Belmont and San Pablo. About 10 minutes later a CHP officer in the area of Golden State and Olive found the gunshot victim. He had been shot in the hand and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.

Authorities are still looking for the suspects.

"The vehicle that they indicated, that the occupants indicated, potentially suspects in this, is a full-size SUV with chrome rims occupied by at least one black male adult and potentially a light-skinned Hispanic female was driving," said Skye Leibee, Fresno Police

Both Fresno police and the CHP are investigating.

It's not known if the incident is gang-related.
