Pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle on HWY 41 in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. -- Shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, the California Highway Patrol received a call from someone saying they had just hit a pedestrian on southbound Highway 41 north of Ashlan.

CHP officers said a man was walking in the fast lane of Southbound 41 when he was hit by several cars. The unidentified victim died at the scene.

Authorities say they've talked to the drivers who hit the victim. But they're also asking any witnesses to contact them.
