Police looking for suspect who shot a woman during a home invasion robbery in Northeast Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating a home invasion robbery that escalated into a shooting in Northeast Fresno.

Around 11:45 Tuesday night, police were called out to the area of Ashlan and Augusta. When they got there, they learned a shooting victim had already been taken to the hospital.

Police said three to four men forced their way inside a home and demanded money from the victim and two other people inside the home.

It was during the robbery, police said, one of the suspects fired his gun, shooting the woman in the arm.

The victim will be okay.

The suspects took some things and ran away.

No arrests have been made.
