Detectives hunt for suspect in Fresno County bank robbery
Fresno County sheriff's detectives are looking for a man who robbed a bank Saturday morning.

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno County sheriff's detectives are looking for a man who robbed a bank Saturday morning.

The robbery happened around 10 a.m. at the Citibank on Kings Canyon Road near Clovis Avenue.

Customers continued to use the ATM at the Citibank hours after the man walked up to a teller and robbed the bank. Sheriff's investigators say the suspect handed the teller a note saying he had a gun and demanded money.

"It's scary now," said Marion DeLeon, a customer.

Sheriff's detectives gathered what evidence they could at the scene before scouring neighborhoods to try and find the suspect.

A sign on the front door of the bank told customers they were closed and to try another Citibank branch. Many who showed up to bank Saturday night were shocked by the midday crime.

"There's a lot of patrolling going on, police officers trying to catch speeding cars, so I'm surprised it happened at all in this area because it looks pretty calm," said Connie Aranda, a customer.

Authorities have released very little information about the suspect -- only that he was wearing a gray sweatshirt with black shorts and had a medium build.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Fresno County Sheriff's Office at (559) 488-3111.
