Suspected Fresno arsonist arrested
Police have arrested a suspected arsonist in connection with a house fire in Northeast Fresno.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police have arrested a suspected arsonist in connection with a house fire in Northeast Fresno.

Jason Neil Robbins, 32, is in jail. He is accused of starting a fire inside a home on Laureen and Norwich Tuesday night. Authorities say he claimed he lit a cigarette and the home's garage caught fire.

Authorities said Robbins also resisted arrest, leading to some minor injuries on two police officers. He is currently booked at the Fresno County Jail.
