TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities in the South Valley say they've destroyed millions of dollars worth of marijuana.

The Tulare County Sheriff's Tactical Enforcement Personnel Unit raided a large growing operation in the mountains above Springville on Friday. They eradicated six interconnected sites with a total of more than 23,000 pot plants.

Detectives say if the marijuana was processed, it would have had an estimated value of $5.5 million.
