Visalia man accused of robbing Walmart

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A wanted man faces more charges for robbing the Walmart on the eastern side of Visalia off Noble Avenue.

Investigators say 29-year-old Matt Thompson tried running out of the store with merchandise, and then threated the security guard with a weapon after they tried to stop him.

Thompson was later found by officers near Ben Maddox Way and Douglas and was taken to jail. Police said he is on parole and also had outstanding warrants for his arrest.
