Jose Ramirez defeats Tomas Mendez by KO to remain unbeaten

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Avenal native Jose Ramirez remained undefeated after his 4th Round KO over Tomas Mendez Saturday night at Tachi Palace in Lemoore.

Ramirez successfully defended his WBC Continental Americas belt with the win and improves to 18-0 with 13 KOs.

His next fight will likely be back in the Central Valley in December for another Fight For Water event, but he told Action News he may pick up another fight before then.

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum was among the 2,600+ fans outside the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino and fellow Top Rank trainer Freddie Roach was in Ramirez's corner for this fight.
