Golden State Warriorspower forward Draymond Green was in the lineup Friday night for the team's 119-113 win over the Detroit Pistons after he missed Thursday night's victory in Brooklyn for the birth of his son.

Green, who has been on baby watch for about a week, traveled to New York with the Warriors on Wednesday. He even practiced that evening, but sometime afterward he flew back to the Bay Area to be with his girlfriend, Jelissa Hardy, who gave birth to their son, Draymond Jamal Green Jr., at 3:55 a.m.

Initially, Green was ruled as questionable for the remaining two games on the three-game road trip against the Pistons and the anticipated matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas Day.

But Green reunited with the Warriors in Detroit early Friday morning and said he watched his son's birth on FaceTime while in the air.

It was a "surreal experience," Green said.

A Michigan native, Green finished with five points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists in his first game as a father.

Green entered Friday night leading the Warriors in rebounds (8.8), assists (7.2) and steals (2.3).
