Three families displaced after house fire in Southeast Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Crews responded to the two-story home around 3 p.m. on Sunday. Firefighters say the fire started in the garage and that smoke damaged the interior of the home.

Working smoke detectors helped get everyone outside in time.

"There was a firewall that was intact in the garage, which actually helped keep the fire spreading into the structure," said Tim Fulmer, Fresno Fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No one was injured from the flames.
