Fatal crash snarls traffic on HWY 152 near Basalt Road west of Los Banos

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said a big rig and multiple vehicles were involved in a crossover collision that killed one person around 7:30 a.m. on Monday.

The crash blocked the slow lane of westbound Highway 152 at Basalt Road, causing traffic to back up at least two miles.

The CHP tweeted that the highway was cleared before noon, and traffic was flowing once again.

No other details were immediately available.
