One injured in Fowler car crash

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities are looking into an overnight crash near Fowler involving a car with a baby in it.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. Friday on Highway 99 near Merced Street. Authorities say the car was going northbound when it started to veer off to its left. They say the female driver overcorrected and ended up crashing through a fence and right into a building.

The driver was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. Another passenger and a baby were not hurt.

It's still unclear what caused the crash, but authorities believe the driver may have fallen asleep.
