MADERA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Madera police are recognizing two 7-Eleven employees for helping a woman who was being assaulted.

Officers say William Bradley and Billy Paris saw a man grabbing the victim by her hair and hitting her in the Cleveland Avenue store's parking lot overnight. The men called 911, but felt they had to intervene for the woman's safety.

The two workers not only stopped the assault, but also held the suspect at the scene until authorities arrived. The man was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail for domestic violence.

Dozens of people are thanking and congratulating the employees on the Madera Police Department's Facebook page.
