Woman critically injured after being hit by car in Visalia
It happened just after 8:30 p.m. on Mooney and Orchard in front of the Sequoia Mall near Applebees. The couple was crossing Mooney at the time when a 78-year-old woman driving a car hit them.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman is in critical condition and a man is recovering after they were hit by a car in Visalia.

It happened just after 8:30 p.m. on Mooney and Orchard in front of the Sequoia Mall near Applebees. The couple was crossing Mooney at the time when a 78-year-old woman driving a car hit them.

The man wound up pinned under the vehicle while the woman was found nearby in the roadway. He was treated and released from the hospital.

She was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno due to the extent of her injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The investigation is on going.
