Drugs, Guns, & Grenade Found in Fresno Raid

Fresno, CA Officers found a stash of drugs and weapons, including a live hand grenade at a home on Delno and Lamona.

Fresno Police say they got a lot of tips about illegal activity going on inside the house. When they knocked on the door, they found a lot of drugs and weapons and a crying mother whose sons they arrested.

Officers removed a long shotgun and five smaller handguns from the house ... as well as a World War II era grenade that was live.

Police say Jose and /*Keith Villagrana*/ were running a mid-level drug operation out of the house.

They found about 1/2 a pound of crystal meth, which is worth about $10-thousand dollars, and they also found more than $5-thousand dollars in cash.

We talked to a neighbor who says everybody in the neighborhood was scared of the Villagranas, so they all stayed away from the house, he doesn't want to be identified on TV. But he says it was obvious people were going to the house to buy drugs.

"The late night traffic, constantly coming and going, you know, you'd see them run out to the cars, run back in. And this has been going on for the last year or more."

Fresno Police arrested /*Jose Villagrana*/ and his brother, Keith, but they left the mother alone. They say the brothers are at least associated with the Bulldogs Gang and they may actually be gang members.

Because of the amount of drugs and weapons, the brothers could face federal charges, which could mean stronger sentences.

Neighbors say they're just glad the brothers are gone.
