Clovis Police said he and the teen met recently and started sending each other text messages. They got a report about the improper contact a little more than a week ago and got a warrant to arrest Goodson.
Police said the incident should remind parents to be aware. "If your child is walking around with a cell phone or something else, parents need to know whats coming and going on that phone, because you just don't know," said Matt McFadden with the Clovis Police Department.
Goodson is out on a $150,000 dollar bond. Action News spoke with family members at his home Saturday night. Their lawyer has advised them not to comment on the case.
